Bound In The Bundle Of Life

1 Samuel 25:29: Yet a man is risen to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul: but the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as out of the middle of a sling.

Bound in the bundle of life with the Lord thy God is one of my favorite phrases in the Bible. It could be said of any believer, even me. There are many other passages that confirm that wonderful truth. Note also the contrast between those who are bound in the bundle of life and those God will sling out, as out of the middle of a sling. David was hiding from King Saul who wanted to kill him. In spite of that, David and his men protected Nabal*s herdsmen and cattle. Nabal refused to reward them. His wife Abigail brought food to David and his men so that David would not kill Nabal. She knew that David was safe in the bundle of life with the Lord. Read the account in 1 Samuel 25. Do we know how safe we are when we are bound in the bundle of life with the Lord our God?

Ephesians 1:6: To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

John 17:21: That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

John 14:16: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Galatians 4:19: My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Ephesians 3:17: That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Philippians 2:12: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Colossians 1:27: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1 John 3:24: And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 4:12: No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

1 John 5:11: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
